Lesson Program

At Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons, our program is designed to teach riders of all ages and experience levels the fundamentals of horsemanship. Our lessons are catered to riders aged 7 and up, and we cover everything from grooming and confirmation to nutrition and hoof care. We believe in providing comprehensive instruction that covers each and every aspect of caring for a horse, as well as riding them. Our lessons are designed to be both fun and entertaining, while still providing a challenge that is appropriate for each rider's level of experience. We also include a lot of groundwork to make sure each rider is comfortable not only handling their horse from the ground, but able to work through things that arise with their horses whether they are in or out of the saddle. Our goal is to help each rider grow into an excellent horseman or horsewoman who is confident in their riding abilities and knowledgeable about horse care. We take pride in our program and are excited to share our love of horses with the next generation of riders.

At Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons, we believe that horseback riding should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or financial situation. That's why we're committed to making horseback riding accessible for all. We aim to simplify the process of learning to ride and make it an enjoyable experience for everyone. We understand that not everyone can afford expensive riding lessons, which is why we strive to offer affordable options that don't compromise on quality. Our goal is to make horseback riding accessible to everyone, whether they are beginners or experienced riders, by providing a range of resources and support that make the experience both fun and affordable. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of horseback riding, and at Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons, we're committed to making that a reality for everyone.

Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons specializes in both Western and English riding disciplines, catering to riders of all levels and ages. On the Western side of things, we specialize in Western Pleasure, Equitation, and Trail Riding. Western Pleasure is a style of riding where the horse is judged on its manners, gaits, and overall suitability as a pleasure riding horse. Equitation is a style of riding where the rider is judged on their ability to control the horse and maintain proper form. Trail Riding is a recreational activity where riders explore the outdoors on horseback, navigating through different terrains and obstacles. Trainer Zayden Regula takes the reins on this end of the spectrum with his years of competitive showing in each of those respective disciplines.

On the English side of things, we specialize in hunt seat riding, and the hunter jumper discipline. Hunt seat is a style of English horseback riding that is commonly seen in horse shows and competitions. It is a style of riding that emphasizes correct position, balance, and control of the horse. The rider typically uses a forward seat position and a light contact on the horse's mouth to communicate with the horse. The hunt seat style is often associated with jumping and is used in both show jumping and eventing competitions. Hunter Jumper is a style of riding where riders and horses navigate a course of jumps, hoping to complete the course with the fewest faults and in the fastest time possible. The Hunter Jumper discipline requires a high level of skill, precision, and athleticism from both the rider and horse. Trainer Lauren Galles specializes in this discipline with years of knowledge both competitive and recreational.

Our experienced trainers/instructors have a deep understanding of each style of riding and are dedicated to helping riders develop their skills and reach their full potential. We offer customized lesson plans that cater to each rider's unique needs, ensuring that every lesson is both challenging and rewarding. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons has something to offer for everyone.
