Horse Shopping Assistance

Horse Shopping Assistance

We are proud to offer horse shopping assistance as part of our services. If you are looking to purchase a horse, one of our experienced trainers can accompany you to view and test ride horses for sale. For a small fee, our trainer will travel with you to the location where the horse is for sale at a rate of $1 per mile. The minimum fee for viewing the horse will be $60.

During the viewing, our trainer will carefully inspect the horse's confirmation, exterior health, and movement to ensure that the horse is suitable for your needs. If requested, our trainer will also ride the horse before you do to provide additional insight into the horse's temperament and suitability for you as a rider.

Our horse shopping assistance service is offered at a minimum rate of $60, but should never exceed $140 for a drive within an hour and a half. This is for any single horse shopping appointment. If our trainers are coming along with you to multiple horse viewings, upon written agreement we require 5% of the purchase price of the final horse selected. If this is below our maximum of $140, then a $1 per mile to travel to the horse selected will be added on to that fee. We believe that finding the right horse is an important decision and we are dedicated to helping you find the perfect match.

Horse Consignment Services

Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons takes on consignment horses with the highest level of care. Added training can be discussed and included, and horses are taken as spots are open for them. The minimum cost for consignment services is $600 per month, which includes full board and care, as well as marketing for the horse. In addition, Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons charges a commission of 10% of the final sale price of the horse.

The boarding options at Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons include a 30 x 70 stall with a three-sided cover, a 1.5 acre pasture, or the 30 x 70 stall option with daily turnout in the 1.5 acre pasture with approved buddy/companion horses or individual turnout in the arena/corner pasture if available. The horses are fed twice a day, and supplements are provided at no extra charge. While the owner of the horse is responsible for farrier and veterinary care, Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons will handle the horses as needed and the owner does not have to come out. This service is also provided at no extra charge. Nightwing Horse Training and Lessons can provide recommendations for local veterinarians and farriers upon request.

We look forward to helping you get that horse sold, as we are equally committed to helping you find your next heart horse!
